Bienvenidos a Riviera Maya, Mexico where a plethora of adventure activities are waiting for you. Nature theme parks, scuba diving, zip line canopy tours, archeological ruins, boating, fishing and kayaking, just to name a few.
There is something here for everyone, so come explore this stunning coast. We promise you will want to come back year after year.

Zip lining
Zip lines, also known as Tyrolean traverse lines, are an exciting new wrinkle to the jungle adventure tour game.
If you liked swinging back and forth on your swing-set as a kid, you’ll LOVE zipping through the jungle as an adult.
Selvatica has wired 2 miles of zip lines through the jungle for that authentic monkey-cam view of the Riviera Maya’s flora and fauna.
Swimming with Whale Sharks
The Yucatan is one of the only places in the world to swim with whale sharks.
Every year during the Summer months, these incredible creatures migrate just off the coast of Cancun.
Boat tour companies take visitors out to their feeding grounds to swim alongside these gentle giants. Experiencing the largest fish in their own environment will leave you amazed!

Scuba Diving
Another world awaits you below the cobalt blue waves of the Mexican Caribbean: one of warm clear water, beautiful reefs, colorful tropical fish and shipwrecks.
Cozumel is one of the world’s most famous diving destinations, and it’s just 20 miles ± off the Riviera Maya coast.
Swimming with Sea Turtles
The town of Akumal in the Riviera Maya is known as “The Place of Turtles.”
All year round Akumal Bay is visited by Loggerhead and Green turtles feeding on the sea grass and swimming in its calm waters.
During turtle season, May through November, visitors to this charming, little fishing village can watch giant turtles lay their eggs as well as witness baby turtles hatching on the shore.

Kiteboarding
People are always searching for new ways to get their dose of adrenalin, especially with new sports that push the envelope of technology and human capabilities.
One such activity is kiteboarding, or kitesurfing. Kiteboarding is using the power of the wind to sail across the ocean, fly into the air, or ride waves into the sunset.
The possibilities for tricks are endless.
The Riviera Maya coastline has numerous beaches ideally suited for learning and practicing kiteboarding.
With consistent winds, warm blue water and beautiful sandy beaches, the Riviera Maya is a kiteboarding dream come true.
Deep Sea and Fly Fishing
The marina in Puerto Aventuras is south of Cancun on the Riviera Maya. Here you will find deep sea sport fishing charter boats offering full and half day trips, excellent captains and local guides.
There’s also great fly fishing in the Sian Kaan Biosphere just south of the Riviera Maya. Bone, Permit and Tarpon (the elusive grand slam) thrive here in these remote saltwater flats and shallow brackish bays.
Exploring Ancient Maya Ruins
Tulum’s greatest attraction is its location. It stands on a bluff facing the rising sun looking out on views of the Caribbean that are nothing less than spectacular. It is one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Mexico. Other nearby ruin sites are Coba, Muyil and Xel Ha.
Kayaking the Mesoamerican Reef
The MesoAmerican Reef System stretches from north of Cancun to the Gulf of Honduras, a distance of over 350 kilometers. It is the second longest barrier reef system in the world.
The calm waters of Tankah Bay is the perfect place to rent a kayak from one of the restaurants or hotels on the beach and paddle along the reef.

Exploring Cenotes and Underground Rivers
Cenotes and underground rivers are some of the most unique features of the Yucatan’s geology and the Riviera Maya has the largest concentration of both.
Cenotes are natural, freshwater sinkholes in the jungle that can be visited on organized snorkel-swim tours while others with signs along the road can be explored on your own for a small entry fee.
The Yucatan has the largest concentration of underground caves and rivers in the world where you can see an amazing variety of rock formations and vaults.
Two eco-parks specializing in this adventure are Aktun Chen and Rio Secreto.
